Warwickshire County Track and Field Quadkids 2019
11 May 2019
Terms and conditions
It is a condition of entry that you read this prospectus (below) and the event terms and conditions and accept them.
The Championships are held under UKA Rules and the Rules of the local County Athletics Associations.
Changes for 2019
This year’s event is a Warwickshire only Championships and is not combined with our colleagues from Leicestershire and Rutland.
Important point to note - Registration
Registration will close for each event 45 minutes before its start time. You must register each day. Athletes generally don’t know how much work goes into the chain from registration to an event and how long it takes. If an athlete who arrives late is allowed to compete then his/her registration details have to be reissued, seeding have to re-do the lane draw which then has to be issued to the starters marksmen and a number of people placed around the site. The lane draw has to be re-entered into the photo finish system. Sometimes one late arrival delays a start and subsequent starts for other athletes therefore it is extremely discourteous to the officials, volunteers and fellow athletes to arrive last and expect to compete. The meeting manager has been given no discretion on this so please don’t embarrass the officials and volunteers by asking for special treatment.
Eligibility
County qualification is either by birth in the County, by 9 months continuous residence* prior to competition or by 9 months service in a unit of HM forces stationed in the County.Warwickshire is defined as the Warwickshire pre-1974 boundary which includes Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire (as for cricket!).*Please note UKA Rule 9 and notes which explains a) the residence conditions relating to students in term-time and b) issues relating to those who have moved out of the area but have not competed for any other County since their move.

U11 Age Group Girls on Saturday and Boys on Sunday
U11 athletes must enter the Quadkids competition in which they do four events which are scored on points and added together to find the overall champion for each County. There are medals for the first three overall (boys and girls). The events are: Long Jump, Howler Throw, 75m sprint and 600m run. U11 athletes must be aged 9 or 10 at midnight on 31st August 2019.
The athletes performances are turned into points then added up to give a total per athlete - and the top three boys and girls each get a medal. All competitors get a certificate even if injury prevents them from completing the 4 events. Please allow us a little time after the last event to work out the points, add them up and write the certificates.
